Job Overview:
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for testing and quality assurance processes that ensure a stable and high performing Olive AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) offering for our customers. The incumbent will leverage both proprietary and popular testing technologies and processes while working in a team-based setting to deliver manual and automated testing solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Create test plans/test cases, automated amp; manual tests to identify software problems
- Debug and triage issues, bugs and errors found during testing and collaborate with engineers toward resolution
- Help define and implement QA practices, procedures, standards, and reporting
- Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement
- Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to leadership
- Implement and advance Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing amp; Load Testing
- Assist in on-boarding, coaching and mentoring peers
- Participate and contribute in team Agile ceremonies and meetings ensuring timely and accurate updates and feedback
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, solution architects, and other QA engineers to deliver high quality solutions on time
- Participate with your team in conducting code and peer reviews
- Work with senior members of the team to ensure steady progress of assigned tasks are being completed in a timely manner
- Effectively communicate project status and key issues to Team Leads and/or Leadership
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in Quality Assurance Engineering, Test Automation Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related degree, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of web technologies like HTML, CSS, JSON, APIs
- Experienced with Version Control Systems such as Git, Github or Bitbucket
- Experienced with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Visual Studio Code, JIRA
- Strong ability to debug code, analyzes failures, and trace defects to root causes
- Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Javascript, Ruby, Python, Java, C#, .Net
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and plan work in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong analytical skills and can creatively solve problems in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical issues to internal and external stakeholders
