Position Overview

The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide a full range of administrative and operational support to the Legal Team, including assistance with a number of complex corporate and compliance matters and projects, such as legal department corporate responsibilities related to governance and entity maintenance, third party discovery requests, day-to-day organizational efficiencies and other matters as assigned. Assigned tasks and responsibilities will touch general corporate, Mamp;A, insurance regulatory and other areas and will provide broad exposure to in-house legal matters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to attorneys and compliance colleagues on a wide range of legal matters, including RSC’s Mamp;A activity and federal and state regulatory compliance matters.
  • Prepare and manage legal filings and other similar requirements applicable to the business.
  • Participate in diligence and document review in connection with RSC’s business and Mamp;A activities, including responding to diligence and regulatory requests.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of relevant business, legal, regulatory and compliance issues and developments, as needed.
  • Assist with implementation and management of Legal Team technology platforms to promote department efficiency and scalability including matter management and contract management systems.
  • Track deadlines and keep the Legal Team informed about impending project milestone dates, deadlines and other matters.
  • Managing and processing incoming and outgoing mail/invoices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience as a legal admin preferred
  • Budget management skills and ability to reconcile expense reports
  • Project management skills and experience interacting with law firms and other vendors
  • Strong research, proofreading, and formatting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint required
