POSITION: MULTIDISCIPLINARY SYSTEMS ENGINEER Ground Architecture

LOCATION: TITUSVILLE, FL, ATLANTA, GA, NORTHERN VA, or HUNTSVILLE, AL (CURRENTLY REMOTE)

PredaSAR is currently seeking a Multidisciplinary Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will have mid-level experience and a track record of success in ground architecture engineering role for a space organization. The Multidisciplinary Systems Engineer will report to the Director, Systems Engineering. This position is an incredible opportunity to help shape the outcome of a major commercial space capability and grow professional engineering skills and experience as a multidisciplinary system engineer in a great company.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Your primary responsibility is to lead the effort to design, implement, test, and verify the PredaSAR ground architecture in a multi-cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to evaluate commercial products and services that could support the PredaSAR Enterprise; communicate the trades, costs, and merits of each.
  • Collaborate with cloud, software, and radar engineers to define interfaces; integrate mission applications and data storage; and verify PredaSAR Enterprise capabilities.
  • Implement life cycle systems engineering best practices.
  • Establish standard operating procedures that support mission assurance, risk mitigation, and contingency plans to assure required mission up time for all ground activities.
  • Develop systems engineering artifacts that support requirements and architecture development; modeling and simulation; cybersecurity; network operations; interoperability; verification and validation testing; and Enterprise deployment and capability monitoring.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators, metrics, data analytics, and approaches to monitor the performance and health of the enterprise ground architecture.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field
  • Ideally, 8+ years systems engineering experience
  • Substantial experience in ground architectures (ideally supporting space systems)
  • Substantial experience implementing command and control or mission management workflows in cloud-hosted environments
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration and organizational skills in technical amp; operational areas
  • Impeccable attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Ability to self-govern with minimum supervision, establish workload priorities, and to utilize efficient time management practices to achieve assigned tasks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

ADDITIONAL DIFFERENTIATORS:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, science, math, or a related field
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification
  • Knowledge of space domain and architectures for space-based remote sensing systems
  • Experience in cybersecurity design principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of standards for geospatial intelligence data and products
  • Recent experience supporting U.S. defense or intelligence customers
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics in a clear and compelling fashion
  • Familiarity with policies, standards, and regulations of the US government as well as current state of practice in the space industry for satellite operations architectures

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

This position requires the candidate to have a current background investigation that enables adjudication to hold a TS/SCI security clearance and to maintain the clearance
