Job Description

What the Role - Description/Summary:

The Solution Consultant is responsible for partnering with a global Sales team to accelerate deals and drive the win rate. The primary responsibility is to understand the overall strategic and technical scope of new business opportunities with prospects/customers then to craft solutions designed to maximize long-term ROI for the customer and EdCast. You will design, create, and conduct demos of a complex technical suite based on user personas. The ideal Solution Consultant is part business analyst, part technologist, part strategic consultant, and part Lamp;D/talent expert.

To be a successful Solution Consultant you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple opportunities supporting digital transformation initiatives. It is important to understand how cloud technology solves business problems, is aligned to our prospects’ digital and learning strategies, and to communicate the business value to prospects.


Core Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Become an EdCast subject matter expert and thought leader, both internally and externally, to drive the business value of EdCast solutions.
  • Very quickly learn the EdCast product suite and be able to demo the products.
  • Deliver pre-sales consulting services inclusive of strategic planning, business value road mapping, use case development, and responding to RFPs/RFIs
  • Use storytelling skills to paint a picture of a future state employing EdCast solutions that helps prospects and customers achieve their desired goals
  • Create learning journeys from use cases presented
  • Think outside of the box when crafting solutions to meet prospects’ needs.
  • Support and lead large scale enterprise transactions using industry knowledge and understanding to move deals forward.
  • Run and facilitate value-based workshops with prospects so that they can fully discover and understand how EdCast can address their strategic projects and major issues.
  • Build strong executive relationships with our prospects and work closely with sales
  • Present and explain technical and strategic concepts to prospects so that they understand the business impact of proposed solutions.
  • Provide input into product development
  • Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise prospects and clients supporting sales and customer service in the development of strategies and roadmaps designed to prove out and deliver on product value
  • Navigate and interface with complex, international, Global 2000 companies, often highly matrixed in their organizational structure
  • Design, manage, execute, and measure the success of pre-sales technical pilots
  • Stay abreast of trends in learning and development, talent development, and human capital.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in business or professional consulting, preferably in the learning and development or talent development space.
  • 5+ years of experience with SaaS/Software in a consultative pre-sales or post-sales capacity
  • Experience developing and presenting clear and concise strategy and solution presentations
  • Experience rapidly learning and creating company and product content
  • Deep, demonstrated track record and expertise in the following domains: LXP, LMS, cloud architecture technology, HR, enterprise collaboration.
  • Thorough understanding and firsthand experience managing initiatives involving learning and social technologies
  • Excellent poise and presentation skills, including web-based presentations
  • Very strong presentation skills
  • Expertise in GSuite
  • BS/BA required; MBA preferred
  • A seasoned, experienced business professional

Hard Skills:

  • G-Suite and/or Microsoft applications
  • Understanding of cloud-based technical solutions
