The Role

Zappi is now hiring for a sharp, commercially-savvy go-getter dedicated to building our account based marketing (ABM) program.

As customer-obsessed researchers, engineers, marketers, and account managers, we strive to understand how we can answer our customer’s business questions faster, cheaper, and better. However, account-based marketing at Zappi is in its early stages. We’ve experimented, learned from failures and wins alike, and now it’s time to take it to the next level.

As manager of the ABM program, you’re a silo-breaker at heart. You’ll need to be a marketer disguised as an account manager and vice versa. Marketing will have taught you to think across channels, tweak and scale messaging for a variety of audiences, and manage simultaneous campaigns. Account management will have taught you what it means to build an account plan, connect with the customer right in front of you, and remain determined in the face of no. You’ll be a member of the marketing team, but will work hand-in-hand daily with account managers to scale our ABM campaigns tailored to single accounts, our core industries, target buyer personas, and buying stage. You’ll be asked not only to back our big acquisition targets with content and creative outreach, but optimize our cadences with existing customers based on their stage and buying behavior. You are a fit for this role if you are a curious and entrepreneurial person eager to drive a high-impact initiative. You will be successful if you’re a confident relationship builder, have a data-driven mindset, and don’t limit your own creativity to cut through market noise.

Requirements

The overall objective for this role is to generate the conversations that get Zappi double-digit growth in 2021 and beyond.

  • Develop and execute compelling outreach cadences that educate and entice engagement from new and existing customers
  • Delve deep into account records, contacts, and lead data to properly map accounts and understand complex buying dynamics to leverage in custom campaigns
  • Meet regularly with account managers to learn, brainstorm, and integrate their voice into key touch points
  • Collaborate with the growth marketing team and operations team to automate touch points, measure results, and scale the program as you go
  • Create flexible templates that account managers can customize easily and use proactively in their day-to-day outreach, as well as execute personally on others
  • Curate and repackage existing thought leadership and product marketing collateral into nurturing campaigns that add value for prospects and customers, and drive up their interest
  • Scope and develop new content in collaboration with the brand and product marketing teams to fill gaps in our messaging as needed
  • Combine email copy, video, social media, direct mail, live and virtual events, ads, and more to catch leads and contacts in stride
  • Leverage different Zappi voices from the C-Suite, to the research team, to the product team and beyond as needed to hit home and unlock opportunities
  • Boost internal engagement/excitement in deepening sales-marketing collaboration
