OPPO US Research Center (Seattle) is seeking self-motivated Software Engineering Interns to support the team on projects focused on computer graphics or computer vision and contributing to development in the field of mobile technology. The candidates will strengthen their existing graphics or computer vision skills by working on and solving real-world problems, and get better insights into how an industry Ramp;D center operates, with instructions and support from experienced mentors and professionals.
Duties and responsibilities
- Participate in designing and implementing high performance software system.
- Participate in developing and prototyping advanced technologies in the domain of computer vision or computer graphics and consumer focusing products in entertainment, social, work, travel and general user experience.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams across countries and time zones.
- Collaborate with research scientists to deliver production ready features and products.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Skilled and interested in learning new technologies, processes, software, hardware, data center methodologies especially in computer graphics or computer vision field.
- Familiarity with object-oriented, test-driven programming practices.
- Familiarity with Linux OS development and deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with at least one category of: Computer graphics, Multi-view geometry, simulation, graphics rendering Alignment, Registration, Stereo Vision, Robotics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image and Video quality.
- Pursuit of PhD in computer vision or machine learning is preferred.
- Strong publication record at top-tier conferences (CVPR, ICCV, etc.) and/or journals
