By focusing on the product level, and not the store level, our customers can create beautiful sites that showcase their products, convert visitors into customers, and increase the value of each purchase.
SamCart is looking for a data-driven Digital Marketing Director to own our digital acquisition channels. You will take an engine that is working well and scale it to the next level. We need someone who has the fast paced start-up expertise, to lead and grow a team of talented marketers to crush quarterly and yearly revenue goals and drive the development and growth of new and existing channels. The right hire will be an inspiring and diligent leader with prior experience in acquisition marketing at a high-growth company.
Requirements
- Manage day-to-day marketing campaigns to increase user acquisition and drive revenue
- Build and lead a team of high performing
- Work with your team to develop a marketing strategy that finds the balance between prioritizing campaigns to increase revenue immediately vs. initiatives that build SamCart’s value long-term
- Continuously test and optimize targeting, bid strategies, and creative assets to drive volume and ROI
- Deliver critical reporting and analysis to communicate performance
- Translate the Board and Leadership’s company goals into marketing team initiatives
- Manage your marketing team’s budget, as well as P+L
- Work cross-functionally with other team leaders to ensure Marketing’s needs are met, as well as meeting the needs of other departments.
- Partner with Product and Management teams to elevate our positioning and identify new product opportunities
- This role is based in either Austin, TX or DC/Maryland. Relocation at your own cost, post Covid, will be expected.
Ideal candidates should have professional experience in the following:
- Strong analytical skillsmust have the ability to turn data into optimizations across the team. You’re obsessed with acronyms including CAC, CPC, CPM and LTV
- Deep and working knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing, particularly paid channels including Facebook, Search, Google Content Network, LinkedIn, YouTube and native ad platforms
- Previous experience at a fast-growth Start-Up, ideally in Saas
- Experience hiring, training, measuring and incentivizing digital marketers and media buyers
- Deep experience in scaling paid digital acquisition channels including search and social
- Ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
- Highly professional with excellent communication
