About the Role
Responsibilities
- Build News Break’s next-gen Media Platform: architect, design, and implement features for mission-critical media platform at massive scale with data-driven iteration.
- Lead the definition and implementation of content processing, management and delivery process of both User generated content and Platform generated content.
- Improve recommendation user experience by optimizing distributed backend services performance and focus on both scale and reliability.
- Collaborate with Machine Learning Experts to build infrastructures to support state-of-the-art Machine Learning systems including Ranking, NLP and Computer Vision.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS with 4 year+ working experience or MS with 2 year+ working experience in Computer Science or related fields.
- Experience with software development processes including: source control, bug tracking and design documentation.
- Proficiency in Java/C++, object-oriented programming, and component-oriented architecture.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Industry experience in one of these fields: Recommendation, Search, Online Advertising and Content Management System.
- Industry experience in building Large scale distributed backend systems.
- Systematic data driven problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.
