We are searching for a Warehouse Supervisor First Shift for our Norfolk, VA location

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for the Norfolk, VA location to help build and manage our team. The Supervisor will manage and schedule all employees. Responsibilities include process training, time cards, PTO, new hire orientation, hazmat certification facilitation, and overseeing OSHA compliance. The WS will be the SME on all technical and IT systems within the warehouse. Noble’s Warehouse Supervisor will report to the Warehouse Manager and work in conjunction with and supervise the Warehouse Material Coordinators receiving, stocking, shipping and maintaining proper inventory levels. This is a hands on management position. Other responsibilities include:


  • Maintaining OSHA certifications and safe working conditions
  • Making sure all employees adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Mentor and coach associates to insist on the highest standards for production, quality, safety and conduct.
  • Inventory control - keeping in communication with our customer service department to ensure that returns are processed in a timely manner and shipped back to the vendor
  • Adhere to all military labeling requirements, warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Pick, pack, and ship utilizing best carrier and consolidating orders as necessary

Requirements

  • 3+ years Warehouse Supervisory experience candidates with military service preferred
  • Has supervised team of at least 10 associates
  • Strong computer skills Microsoft Office, NetSuite and a working knowledge with warehouse management systems
  • Flexibility with hours: ability to work varied hours, days, night, and weekends as business dictates
  • Hazmat Certification and Forklift certification a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of materials, warehouse processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods
  • Associate’s Degree or relevant work experience Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Preferred: experience with continuous improvement, Lean Principles, Six Sigma, and process development.
