The Staff Accountant, Customer Experience role is a full-time position responsible for supporting GovX’s efforts to prevent fraudulent activity, promote customer satisfaction via financial transaction processing, and minimize related financial losses. The role will work in conjunction with the Accounting team and will report to the Controller. Scheduled work days will be Tuesday through Saturday after the first couple Mon-Fri training weeks.
Responsibilities
- Review orders flagged by automated fraud prevention systems, including investigating account details, verify information via phone and email communications with customers as needed, and make final judgements on risk.
- Aid in the processing of customer order issues including returns, cancellations, and refunds.
- Investigate violations of Terms of Use and educate customers on compliance.
- Identify and report trends and communicate to others on the Accounting team and across departments to improve fraud prevention procedures.
- Investigate and resolve chargebacks with a customer-oriented approach and provide evidence to dispute unsupported claims.
Position type and expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time Tuesday Saturday position; typical work hours will vary dependent on volume demands; approx. 40 hours weekly.
Supervisory Experience
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional environment subject to state and local health ordinances. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical/Mental Demands
- Physical - This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
