Job Description

Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:

  • Evaluates potential clients for the appropriate level of care requirements and identifies their DSM VTR diagnoses, Axis I-V.
  • Assists the counselors in the development of the treatment plan.
  • Facilitates treatment team meetings and participates in case consults.
  • Provides individual and group supervision to the counselors and other staff as assigned.
  • Attends shift change and company meetings.
  • Maintains caseload as needed.
  • Assists the Director in developing new programs for the facility.
  • Clerical duties as required for maintenance of client files.
  • Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment.
  • Maintains safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for clients including crisis intervention. Insures clinical program occurs daily as scheduled.
  • Identify/Implement/Evaluate evidence based treatment modalities.
  • Provide support to counselors to ensure EB modalities are consistently utilized both in group and individual sessions.
  • Attend provider meetings and explore other opportunities to engage with external stakeholders.
  • Support marketing efforts by providing tours and information as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Competencies:

Helps to maintain strong clinical program through leadership of staff team. Capable of giving appropriate clinical feedback and role modeling to the counselors. Advises counselors on treatment goals. Capable of role modeling to the clients and staff. Staff able to work together to effectively meet the needs of the clients. Maintains positive relationship with referral sources and families. Satisfaction Surveys and Chart Monitors meet or exceed 80% compliance. Maintains positive relationship with referral sources and families. Maintains compliance with documentation in charts through oversight and audit procedures. Carry out treatment philosophy and mission of organization. Strong clinical skills in Damp;A and mental health treatment. Follows all licensing regulations amp; working knowledge of HIPAA, OMSAS, Licensing and CARF regulations. Strong computer skills. Complete required trainings and mandatory training hours.

Requirements

Education, Experience:

A Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in administration or the human services) or other related field and 2 years of clinical experience in a health and human services agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.

Facilitating process group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy. Mental Health experience. Treatment planning experience. Previous supervisory experience.
