Job Title: Ramp;D Project Manager SW Systems
Location: Mukilteo, WA
Spectranetix, a small fast-growing company that develops and provides advanced electronic systems for the U.S. Department of Defense, is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our engineering team.
Spectranetix designs and builds advanced, military standards-based, modular open systems architecture (MOSA) systems. These systems conform to the Army's C4ISR Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) and the Air Force's Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Standard. These CMOSS/SOSA systems are used for multi-mission electronic warfare, tactical communications, signals intelligence, cyber-EW, high speed computing or simultaneous combinations of these capabilities.

Spectranetix is seeking strong, enthusiastic candidates for the position of Ramp;D Engineering Manager Embedded SW to join our development team. In this role, you will work with a small team of highly talented engineers to create and deploy some of our leading software tools. We are seeking candidates who are particularly interested in a position that involves a mix of both software development and love of working in a team environment. Requirements
Minimum:
- Exceptional software development skills
- Knowledge of modern development practices (Agile, object-oriented programming, test-driven development, microservices).
- Strong academic foundation in Computer Science fundamentals.
- Prior management/leadership experience.
- Stellar communication skills (both technical details and high-level conceptual ideas).
- US Citizen and ability to obtain a security clearance required.
Preferred:
- Ability to lead and manage a team of software engineers and maintaining software systems.
- Ability to present solutions in customer briefings.
- Create technical documents that detail system architectures, projected and current program schedules.
- Knowledge and/or ability to learn DevOps/DevSecOps standard practices and tools.
- High-level of competence in C/C++.
- Experience working with embedded SW and MPSoCs.
Responsibilities:
- Aid in leading design and development of software systems.
- Manage and prioritize development team tasking based on company objectives.
- Oversee architecture and software development for various programs.
- Aid in decision making for embedded SW foundational architecture across programs/projects.
- Participate in Agile planning and development of new features.
- Generate schedules and budgets for development team’s tasking on various programs.
- Manage development team within that schedule and budget.
Education:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
