Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Key Responsibilities amp; Accountabilities:

• Consolidate and reconcile the annual operating budget, forecasts, Long Range Plan and actuals to help ensure alignment between financial metrics and the strategic direction of the business
• Create and maintain reports to enable FPamp;A to analyze trends, metrics, performance, and projections of future spend
• Monitor actuals integration feed, import timesheet data, perform reconciliations and produce Quarter End/Year end reports
• Lead implementation and enhancement processes for FPamp;A systems, including planning and setup of financial systems, reporting capabilities, and related processes
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers and deliver financial plans and analyses that lead to effective and insightful decision making
• Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and operating expenditures; contribute to quarterly variance analysis and commentary
• Collaborate with PMO and IT to ensure system maintenance is conducted following SDLC and Governance processes
• Maintain system documentation and conduct end user training as needed
• Identify and drive initiatives to further leverage financial systems, streamline process flows, and craft systematic methods for efficient data analysis and processing, reporting, and analysis
• Identify areas of opportunity for process optimization
• Perform ad hoc analysis and reports as needed

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills amp; Capabilities:

• Strong understanding of Excel and complex formulas
• Strong organizational skills; ability to work within and meet all deadlines while executing on multiple deliverables
• Relentless attention to detail
• Analytical self-starter with a high emphasis on teamwork, timeliness, and quality of work
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and leadership skills and effective in working collaboratively with cross functional team members and with external partners
• Financial statement knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
• System knowledge including Oracle Fusion, Adaptive, and similar systems
• Career minded, team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead

Education amp; Relevant Work Experience:

• BS/BA in accounting, finance, or economics
• 5-8 years of financial analysis experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with public company
