Diamond, a leading private wireless infrastructure company with headquarters in Springfield NJ, is currently seeking a Paralegal who will be responsible for providing legal and administrative support to the Diamond in-house Legal department with specific emphasis on real estate based contracts, administrative matters, and providing assistance to attorneys handling transactional matters. The candidate will work within the Legal Department and will be the main point of contact for title review and reporting, update databases, assist with organization and maintenance of department records and files and assist in the day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will be located on a full-time basis in the Springfield NJ headquarters Further responsibilities include:
• Works with the title company to obtain title reports
• Review for any title exceptions and encumbrances that are to be cleared
• Oversee, track and report the status title and results of title review on weekly staff meetings
• Work and communicate directly with title company and property owner to cure title issues
• Review ground leases to confirm accuracy with title and escalate findings if necessary
• Record and track documents with various counties throughout the country
• Some template-based drafting may be required
• Managing and updating files, including electronic and hard copy
• Work with Lease Administration and Finance Department as necessary
• Will provide administrative / clerical support as needed
Requirements
• Paralegal certificate required
• New Jersey Notary required
• Two years of experience required; experience strongly preferred in a title/mortgage company or commercial real estate setting
• Knowledge of basic real estate principles and basic document drafting
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, landlords and colleagues
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Self-motivated; Able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests, as well as collaborate with other team members
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word and a proficiency in Adobe
