We’re looking for a Fleet Maintenance Manager, as our Article Delivery Team (ADT) fleet grows in size, we need someone to build the program around fleet maintenance, and owning end to end responsibility of the local fleet. This includes registrations, titles, leases, permits, preventative maintenance for on-road vehicles, out of service units, fuel cards, toll passes, etc.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement maintenance standard work and process cadence for a set of vehicles.
- Research external tools and best practices that can be utilized to drive efficiencies and improve departmental metrics.
- Develop and document maintenance KPI and vendor score-carding.
- Drive out waste in time, costs, and redundancy in maintenance work.
- Ensure all vendor work is being performed per Article expectations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Direct oversight of 3rd party vendor accountability across the Article truck network.
- Implement checks and balances that ensure vendor staffing, response time, and follow up remain at optimal levels.
- Communicate with all levels of management both internally and externally to ensure maintenance standard work exceeds Article safety and operational standards.
- Drive continuous improvements that are repetitive, flexible, and scalable as the fleet continues to grow in assets and personnel.
- Assist leadership teams as needed with project management, including vendor and systems vetting.
- Work with DOT Compliance team members to develop processes that embody communication, documentation, and resolution of issues that could negatively impact Article asset health and availability.
- Follow the Article Way principles and make decisions that are ethical, cost effective, and always in the best interest of Article as a whole.
- Collaborate in developing a fleet team whose tactical mission and strategic mission is centered on Article asset health and maximizing DOT inspection touchpoints.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of progressive experience managing maintenance for a large scale fleet;
- Ability to influence and work cross-functionally;
- Assist in building and maturing our maintenance program;
- Experience building maintenance KPI and vendor score-carding;
- Experienced managing vendors, and ensuring SLAs are followed;
- Putting the customer at the heart of all decisions and actions;.
- Desire to always question, not only how can we do better, but how can we do remarkably better.
