This role is as an employee of SecondMuse Foundation, a non-profit corporation created by SecondMuse, and will leverage the relationships and resources of both organizations.
Job Description
SecondMuse Foundation is seeking a Program Director to lead local strategy and partnership development for GET (Gender Equity in Tech) Cities programs in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding DMV region. GET Cities is designed to accelerate the representation and leadership of women in tech through the development of inclusive tech hubs across the United States. The DC Director will be responsible for managing the local team, contributing to and executing the local strategy, building partnerships and overseeing the success of the Washington, DC-based program. The Director will report to a National Director and will work closely with National and City teams to develop best practices to significantly increase the representation of women in all facets of tech, from academia to industry to entrepreneurship.
As a candidate for the DC Director role, you are passionate about advancing the representation of women in tech with a particular comfort and focus on intersectional lived experiences which include, race, ethnicity and gender orientation, are people and relationship-driven, an ecosystem thinker, have stellar management and communication skills, maintain a balance between flexibility and focus, are comfortable in complex and ambiguous spaces, entrepreneurial and independently proactive. You are experienced in designing new programs, gaining buy-in from a diversity of stakeholders, building and managing teams, have existing involvement and relationships within tech communities and are able to grow networks to support and drive programming that increases participation and leadership of women in tech.
