Role:

The Integration and Test team is responsible for building and testing Capella spacecraft. We are responsible for the entire manufacturing life cycle from receiving parts, to producing full spacecraft, to final integration with the launch vehicle at various facilities around the world. The team’s focus is on quality, efficiency, traceability, and repeatability with the goal of producing rigorously tested satellites capable of surviving the harsh environment of space. Team members help support critical testing campaigns like vibration, thermal vacuum, and launch-base testing.

As an Avionics and Electronics Test Engineer-Lead, you will lead a team responsible for PCB bring-up, performing vendor-provided assembly checkout, integrating PCBs and assemblies into higher-level assemblies, performing checkouts at higher-level assemblies, creating test harnesses (as necessary), and maintaining flight and test inventories of PCBs, assemblies, and harnesses to be integrated into spacecraft and testbeds.

Requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years experience working with embedded systems both hardware and software.
  • Hands-on experience working with lab equipment and electronics hardware like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Demonstrated hand-on electronics skills like soldering and harnessing.
  • Used to continually learning new concepts and developing new skills.
  • Good communications skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and enjoyment of learning from and teaching other team new skills.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics, or comparable degree
  • Familiarity with NASA / MIL-STD processes

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires special access to conduct the work and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
