Plexium is a San Diego-based targeted protein degradation drug discovery company that is developing novel therapeutics. Plexium’s biology group is seeking a highly motivated, creative bachelor’s/master’s level associate to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the discovery of novel targeted protein degradation therapeutics for cancer. The candidate will have hands on experience designing and executing cell-based experiments to support the development of small molecule oncology agents.
Requirements
BS with at least 4+ years or MS with 2+ years research experience in the field of molecular biology or cell biology (industry experience preferred)
• Experience with biochemical and cellular assay development and plate-based readouts
• Expertise in tissue culture techniques, stable cell line generation and western blot analysis
• Experience with immunofluorescence staining preferred
• Solid molecular biology skills including cloning, PCR technologies, and genetic manipulation using CRISPR, siRNA or shRNA
• Outstanding problem solving, troubleshooting and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to be productive and successful in a fast-paced work environmentBenefits
