Job Description

The Project Manager is primarily responsible to lead, oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects within scope, quality, time and cost constraints. Initiatives will include operational model change initiatives; efficiency and effectiveness initiatives; and business capabilities development. This role will act as the lead project manager for a future multi-site SAP S/4 implementation and will be involved in initiatives that lead up to and result from this effort.

Project Managers improve the consistency, quality, predictability and efficiency of project delivery, as well as providing leadership in best practices. In addition, the Project Manager must have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and customer focused, and highly organized.

Location: 2500 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster PA 17604 - Temporarily 100% remote working due to COVID
Project Manager Salary: $90,000 - $125,000, based on experience (Gr. 12/13/14)

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • Be the lead project manager for a future multi-site SAP S/4 implementation
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
  • Identify risks and interdependencies. Prepare mitigation plans
  • Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Resource balancing across multiple projects. Ensure resources availability
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field such as Business amp; Information Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience, including the following:
    • 5+ years of demonstrated successful project management experience
    • 5-10 years of business analysis or management experience
    • 3+ prior years’ experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager for SAP Implementation or major upgrade
  • Experienced with the SAP Activate Method

We'll be excited if you have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Prefer experience as implementer or support responsibilities for one or more SAP modules
