Job Description

Our Credit Analysts delivery wellcontrolled credit, collections, claims and adjustments for the Armstrong Flooring. You will also onboard new customers and ensure they comply to our credit policies. Maintain or improve the % current, reduce the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and reduce the amount of deductions.

Location: 2500 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17604 temporarily 100% remote due to COVID

Credit Analyst Salary: $50,000 - $61,000, based on experience (Gr. 7)

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • Onboard new customers by determining customer AR requirements, billing and customer master set-up. Determine credit worthiness and financial risk involved in extending credit to prospective new customers through financial analysis of customer’s financial statements, trade associations and other analytical tools.
  • Manage numerous customer accounts and collections, credit approval of orders, financial analysis, and evaluation of customer risks.
  • Increase % current, reduce DSO, reduce the amount of non-standards (deductions) and reduce bad debt expense for their portfolio.
  • Review credit by soliciting and analyzing customer credit information. Review and approve or seek approval for credit lines.
  • Manage the liens and bonds for contractors and negotiate with customers for security or other protection as appropriate to promote sales while minimizing risk of losses.
  • Work with our Customer Order, Sales, Transportation, Finance, and Pricing teams, our manufacturing plants and distributors to facilitate the order-to-cash process.
  • Utilize various internal and external computer software systems for research and processing work including SAP, BI, Customer Portals, Freight Carrier websites, and Sharepoint.
  • Organize and lead quarterly meetings with other departments to share metrics and resolve issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements through the customer account life cycle (from credit application through closure).
  • Prepare timely metrics for reporting on accounts receivable and team performance.
  • Monthly reporting on past due invoices, non-standard analysis and detailed analysis on retail customer changes pertaining to DSO, % current and non-standards.
  • Work on special projects to make improvements to our processes or improve service to our customers.
  • lt;10% travel for conferences or customer meetings.

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting PLUS 3+ years' experience in credit
    OR High school diploma/GED PLUS 5+ years' experience in credit
  • Strong Excel skills
