Job Description

Our Credit Manager leads our well-controlled credit, collections, claims, adjustments, and billing for North America. Reporting to the Director, Customer Service and Credit, you will oversee accounts receivable investment around $50M’s (yearly sales of gt;$500M).

Location: 2500 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17604 temporarily 100% remote due to COVID

Credit Manager Salary: $72,000 - $102,000, based on experience (Gr. 10/11)

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • Lead and develop a team of 6 Accounts Receivable professionals.
  • Lead the credit team to achieve key AR metrics (% current, DSO, non-standard AR resolution and maximizing profitable sales) at best in class levels for North America.
  • Conduct thorough and timely credit line reviews. Seek sufficient level of financial data direct from customers together with data to be collected from the credit community and Armstrong Flooring’s experience to determine appropriate credit positions. Obtain authorized approvals on proposed credit lines.
  • Evaluate customer financial profiles to identify deficiencies and take corrective actions to minimize and avoid exposure in high risk situations.
  • Conduct customer visits to engage and understand the business of our customer base. Build relationships with customers and improve credit awareness.
  • Ensure appropriate knowledge and processing of secured transactions exists within AR team relevant to customer type.
  • Perform monthly aging reviews and engage with AR team to ensure timely collections and resolution of payment disputes. Keep management informed in all high-risk matters, making proposals as appropriate.
  • Engage and lead order-to-cash customer focused teams to improve efficiencies and the customer’s experience via benchmarking industry best practices. Create a team environment to ensure support of business strategies and influence process improvements.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on bad debt accruals, cash discount accruals, non-standards, and contra receivable accounts. Provide monthly summaries and analysis on AR portfolio and major accounts.
  • Evaluate and adjust team structure as appropriate to ensure team collectively operates efficiently, continuously achieves expected performance levels, and remains compliant. Lead hiring, training and continuous development of team.

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting PLUS 5+ years' experience at a manager level
    OR MBA PLUS 3+ years' experience at a manager level
  • Experience with international credit

  • SAP experience
  • Experience with multi-channel customer types distributors, retailers, and contractors.
