Job Description

Company in Pleasant Prairie has an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Coordinator. The successful candidates will be responsible for procurement and purchasing of production and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) activities as assigned by the Supply Chain Supervisor. Ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting key customer programs.

Requirements

  • Responsible for buying production and MRO goods, services, materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies as assigned.
  • Assists in maintaining optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries meeting customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges.
  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
  • Coordinates the company's production schedule with the schedules of outside suppliers.
  • Obtains purchased items as assigned by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
  • Responsible for updating ERP system in a timely manner when purchase orders are fulfilled.
  • Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding complete and accurate receiving and supporting documentation to Accounts Payable in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for working with suppliers to improve their quality and delivery performance when necessary.
  • Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing orders, order history and supporting documentation, and supplier contact information.
  • Operates office equipment such as desktop-networked PC, printer, telephone console,
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participates in training and is accountable for learning the material and information.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor and supports other employees as necessary in a team effort.

Additional Requirements:

  • Associate degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of three years of related work experience helpful
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people in a business environment and maintain a professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word), experience using MRP systems a plus.
