Chocolate manufacture is looking for ideal Quality Control Technician to ensure that the products range meets the required quality standards by executing quality control on raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished products; food safety and quality SOP’s verification, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Must be able to safely work with automated industrial equipment, including operation, change over and basic maintenance.
- Report all food safety and quality issues to immediate Supervisor and / Quality technician. Immediately report any safety issues to the supervisor, maintenance or management.
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of their work center.
- Comply with all company SOP’s ( specific SOP’s particular for Job), GMP’s, and SQF.
- Maintain a neat and sanitary work area at all times.
- Must conform dress code and personal protective equipment policies.
- Perform any other duties as instructed by the management
- KEY TASKS Position Specific
- Run assigned lines in the most efficient and safe way, ensure the highest quality of product and optimal output of line.
- Making sure that sanitation task for assigned shift is completed to standards set forth by production supervisor.
- Receive, retain and apply necessary training needed to properly maintain line.
- Effectively communicate information to relieving operators, lead, and supervisor as needed.
- Responsible for carrying out any assigned tasked to ensure that production is maintained.
- Pack chocolate as required by daily planning.
- Sanitize department as described in sanitation handbook.
- Ensure that quality is part of the daily work.
- Ensure that PCU produces and delivers Safe Quality Products.
- Follow GMP’s and food defense Guidelines. Ensure that allergen control is followed through all the work place.
- Follow proper changeovers/cleaning procedures.
- Ensure that packaging paperwork is properly documented.
Requirements
- Must be able to use necessary computer screens as instructed. Must be able to have basic computer literacy and understanding of operating system
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate both orally and in written form.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand system instruction and training materials and show the ability to execute.
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- Must have pass company physical when required
- QUALIFICATIONS Job specific
- Attendance record must be in good standing, less than 5.5 points.
- Must be able to learn computer systems and use of scanning technology
- Must demonstrate specific prior experience that is directly pertinent to the skills required and operation involved.
- Must be able to perform all job functions pertinent to the process
- SQF training, GMP training, SOP training
