Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) is looking for an experienced Senior Release Engineer to design, implement, and maintain build and release processes for our Android and iOS mobile libraries and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a continuous integration and continuous deployment system for build and test automation
- Manage release of several mobile artifacts in support of internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain tools and processes to build and release apps to the Google Play Store, and Apple App Store
- Investigate and debug complex build problems, release issues, and environment issues in mobile tooling and infrastructure
- Coordinate release activities with product, engineering, and QA teams to ensure smooth releases
- Mentor and guide other release engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Build and Release Engineer with an emphasis on mobile app build and release preferred
- 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining continuous integration systems
- Solid understanding of and practical experience with the software development life cycle, with particular emphasis on release engineering functions
- Experience with scripting languages and build tools, such as Python, Ruby, bash, make, CMake, gradle and/or SCONS
- Experience using and managing source control tools such as git and svn
- Experience with the mobile app release lifecycles for Android and iPhone markets
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Experience using crash reporting tools like Crashlytics
