Job Description
CMT is seeking an experienced supply chain amp; logistics professional to join us to help make the world’s roads safer.
As a member of our IoT Supply Chain team, you will help us reliably manufacture and deliver IoT devices for use around the world. CMT is made up of collaborative, customer-committed, and creative experts that enjoy working in a fast-paced and fun environment. We are looking for a professional who has experience in Import/Export and Global Trade Compliance logistics within the electronics industry.
You will be working closely with our IoT Engineers to help bring new products to the market, with our supply chain partners (vendors, distributors, and contract manufactures) to coordinate production, and with sales and marketing to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
- Oversee U.S. and international contract manufacturing for CMT’s IoT devices.
- Provide primary support for logistics functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assigned.
- Coordinate domestic and international customer shipments and educate clients on export and import requirements and processes.
- Plan, execute, and track domestic and international shipments by maintaining close partnerships with contract manufacturers and couriers.
- Assist with certification process for CMT’s product lines of Bluetooth, WiFi, and LTE devices to ensure compliance when entering new markets.
- Manage U.S. and international distributor partner relationships for CMT’s customer end user fulfillment.
- Supervise WEEE, battery, and packaging compliance and reporting for select customers in the EU. Ongoing coordination is required to ensure compliance requirements are reviewed and met in operating countries.
- Partner with cross-functional business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and implement initiatives that allow us to operate our supply chain network more effectively.
- Works as a liaison between the vendor and the internal finance and operations team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in planning, procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations.
- Experience with International shipping (INCO terms etc)
- Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft suite of products.
- Data-driven and process-oriented with ability to consistently meet commitments and reach objectives without direct oversight.
- Comfortable with daily transactional work in combination with developing and implementing strategic methodologies.
- Excellent communication and organization skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Local and international travel less than 10%
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, business, operations, management, or a related field required.
