CMT is seeking outstanding Data/Database Security Architect who is deeply technical and enjoys hands-on engineering to join us in building technology to better secure and protect the data CMT collects and manages from smartphone sensors and connected devices in vehicles. As a member of our Security and Privacy group, you will help accomplish our mission by enhancing, designing, and implementing controls to ensure CMT’s data is appropriately protected and secured across the environment. Responsibilities
- Design, document, and implement security solutions with focus on databases and data storage
- Design, document, and implement systems to control and audit individual access and privileged access to specific data or data elements
- Participate in architecting and evolving CMT’s future data storage framework
- Advise on best security and privacy practices surrounding data storage and database platforms
- Interact with development, product and engineering teams to understand requirements and facilitate implementation of solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally with these groups to ensure delivery and implementation of security solutions and controls
- Review, evaluate and recommend third party products and tools that will improve security and privacy of data within the environment
- Ensure timely data destruction in accordance with legal requirements and customer expectations
- Determine database security requirements by evaluating business strategies in accordance with compliance standards, such as ISO and SOC
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of equivalent work experience required
- Prior cloud-based data protection experience
- Familiarity with modern security architectures, standards and controls
- Prior experience with Identity and Access management in a cloud-based environment
- Extensive experience or familiarity with AWS cloud-based database platforms, such as PostgreSQL, Aurora, Dynamo
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with US based and international privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA preferred
- Prior experience with ISO standards 27001 and 27701 preferred
