Job Description

  • We are seeking a talented, experienced and creative thinking PR professional for a fixed term contract (January -May 2021) covering maternity leave for our AVP PR amp; Advocacy North America
  • The AVP of PR amp; Advocacy plays a critical role in driving increased brand awareness for Charlotte Tilbury amp; Charlotte Tilbury Beauty in North America, and in furthering our mission to become the no.1 most talked about, most loved and best-selling beauty and skincare brand in North America!!
  • Overseeing all media, VIP, MUA and influencer relations and activity in North America
  • Lead and direct a strategic 360-degree Public Relations, Influencer, Affiliate amp; Events related program to generate reach and engagement, build community and participation, inspire product trial and positive awareness towards the brand story and products, and ultimately drive sales
  • All efforts should drive core brand awareness objectives and support the growth and enhanced performance of the North America business
  • Drive major impactful coverage across all media channels broadcast, print, digital/online and audio for the brand, products and CT talent
  • Drive brand advocacy across the media, influencer, celebrity and MUA landscapes
  • Senior strategic lead for all external North American PR agencies, ensuring they are meeting and delivering on key KPIs
  • Work collaboratively with the Global team and other regional teams to ensure alignment and efficacy and efficiency across markets
  • Support core hero products with strategic seeding, proactive outreach, and influencer seeding
  • Support regional growth in NA through strategic, localized PR amp; events and activations
  • Support Influencer Marketing Manager in ideating and executing a strategic influencer program, expanding our network of NA influencers and strengthening existing relationships
  • Nurture our existing network of relationships with high profile NA talent/celebrities
  • Manage all Red Carpet related activity and events in NA including talent, artist sponsorships
  • Lead, motivate, support and develop the internal NA PR Team (Assistant Manager PR amp; Advocacy and Influencer Marketing Manager), ensuring smooth running of the NA PR amp; Events function
  • Manage NA PR amp; Events budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources to drive maximum results
  • Build key relationships with press, influencers and partners to benefit the brand
  • Measure, analyse and evaluate success/impact of PR+ influencer related activity, and apply key learnings and takeaways to future activity
  • Brief Charlotte and other members of Senior Management on media opportunities
  • Act as internal liaison and counsel for all other cross-functional departments on PR related activity
  • Champion NA PR successes and achievements to Senior Management team
  • Act as brand representative at key industry functions, award shows, trade shows etc
  • Lead cross-functional relationships with brand, trade and other key departments within the company
  • Accountable for ensuring key stakeholders (both internal and external) are informed, updated and supportive of direction and plans
  • Oversee/manage impactful launches for new product launches, with support of agency and in-house teams including press days, desk-sides, press seeding, mailings and influencer seeding - measuring results and taking key learnings forward

Reporting Relationships:

  • This role reports into the SVP Marketing, NA and manages two direct reports internally and external agencies in both the US and Canada

Requirements

  • 10+ Years’ experience in PR, both agency and in house experience, across retail/ecommerce and beauty/skincare industries and with a proven track record of success
  • Experienced in devising and implementing strategic plans with creative flair
  • Composed under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment experience working in Founder brand (and directly with Founder) preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritizing skills able to juggle multitude of projects at once and ensure no balls dropped
  • Experience working with monitoring and engagement tools including Cision and Traackr
  • Experience managing significant PR budgets efficiently and to achieve KPIs
  • Strong attention to detail, timelines, and follow up skills
  • Passionate about stories and current affairs, with a finger on the pulse of social trends and a love of beauty!
  • Always up to date with the latest celebrity/VIP news and tapped in to the ever-evolving influencer landscape
  • Strong media, celebrity/agent and influencer relationships preferred
  • Media Training capabilities preferred
  • Willing and able to travel in US and Canada (COVID restrictions pending) </
