Our customer is hiring a Budget Analyst to join their expanding firm. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business better than they know it and to become a trusted advisor.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to a Federal Government Budget program. This position is located in Rosslyn, VA and is metro accessible. This position is currently remote and will return to client site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide various financial accounting consulting support to a Federal client in Program, Planning, Budget and Execution.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree (or 5+ years’ experience in lieu of degree)
- Support the formulation, justification, presentation and execution of the budget process for payroll
- Resolve discrepancies in funding/accounting information for Payroll web Transaction Accounts
- Review and update Payroll Interface error projections
- Identify current year resource needs as they apply to Operational Expenses and payroll
- Resolve discrepancies with invalid funding lines for pay periods
- Analyze large and complex Payroll Data Sets
- Develop and create Current and Historical Payroll Reports
- Perform Payroll reclassification comparison analysis reports as needed
- Financial data analysis using the Federal Financial Management System (FFMS)
- Development and ongoing completion of various internal and external briefing and presentation materials and tools.
- Assist in the analysis of budget and program performance data to understand, anticipate and respond to requests from Divisions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in the Department of Homeland Security
