Job Description
As a Manager of Corporate Development you will join PayJoy’s Finance team. You will bring rigor and perspective to PayJoy’s strategic planning including the following activities: new country expansion plan, long-term financial plan, materials for equity raises including financial models and pitch decks, as well as driving special situation projects like Mamp;A. You are a highly motivated contributor, an exceptional collaborator, meticulous about details but able to zoom out and capture the big picture story. Responsibilities
- Work closely with the executive team to plan and execute strategic financial initiatives.
- Refine and maintain PayJoy’s new country expansion strategy
- Refine and maintain PayJoy’s strategic financial plan (3-6 year out horizon)
- Ensure all teams in the organization contribute to and align with PayJoy’s long-term strategy
- Develop materials for partnership and equity discussions (eg pitch decks + data)
- Analyze and make sense of the data that underpins strategic discussions including internal PayJoy data, financial models and 3rd party data
- Define and execute Mamp;A strategy in conjunction with board and executive team
- Present materials to executive team, company and external investors
Requirements
- 2+ years investment banking, consulting or investment (PE, VC, etc..) experience, plus MBA or equivalent work experience
- Strong experience building and maintaining financial models. Ability to manipulate internal data using SQL is a must.
- Strong research and presentation skills
- Applied experience covering and modeling financial companies (preferably lenders)
- Able to work with senior cross-functional leaders and make things happen
