Currently, we’re seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to join our team and help manage operations within our Allentown, PA fulfillment center. This professional multitasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time.
Objective of this Role
- Ensure on-time orders daily
- Ensure inventory and receiving accuracy
- Protect the safety of warehouse team members
- Maintain positive, productive relationships with partner carriers
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Supervise and participate in shipping and receiving functions of the warehouse
- Direct associates in the shipping and receiving functions
- Hold teams accountable to strong standards for shipping, receiving, inventory management and safety
- Coordinate with Alpine's customer service/ops team to manage item receipts and orders
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with shipping partners
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in operations and supervisory roles
- Strong knowledge of Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Material Handling operations,
- methods and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to lead
- Computer savvy
- Forklift driving skills
