Who You Are:
Our client is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer experienced in multiple languages to build and maintain their multi-tenant platform product serving their clients in the geospatial community. You will utilize software development best practices to build testable and maintainable code for multiple custom web applications.
What You’ll Do:
- You will participate as a senior leader in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design, implementation, documentation, amp; testing.
- You will determine and design system specifications amp; standards.
- You will investigate, analyze, and make recommendations to management regarding technology improvements, upgrades, and modifications.
- You will develop features across multiple subsystems including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- You will prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software.
- You will mentor more junior teammates on best practices and troubleshooting.
- You will assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.
- You will design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
- You will analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
- You will package and support deployment of releases.
- You will accomplish engineering and organizational missions by completing related tasks as needed.
Requirements
What You Have:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering or related field.
- You have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience working as a polyglot programmer with imperative and functional languages such as JavaScript, Elixir, Python, Rust, and SQL.
- You have experience with an RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
- You have experience working in an agile development team environment using the scrum framework.
- You have proficiency developing and debugging complex software systems running in Linux and/or Windows environments.
- You have experience with geospatial technology.
- You have a solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environments.
- You have experience using JIRA or similar issue tracking software.
- You have good communication skills and are able to work in a geographically distributed team environment.
- You have the ability to manage multiple tasks and perform work on time.
- You have experience with mobile development, in particular React Native and Swift or Objective-C.
- You have a working knowledge of JavaScript mapping libraries (OpenLayers, Leaflet, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Tangram).
- You have experience deploying and administering solutions in cloud server environments.
