We are looking for a talented Senior Softeware Engineer to join the Provider Integrations team. Our team builds and maintains services that connect Providers with the Rokt ecosystem and allows them to sell their goods and services via Rokt. We are passionate about building robust, fast, well-tested, observable and scalable systems. We design solutions collaboratively as a team. We respect each other's opinions and differences and thrive to solve the most complex problems the business puts in front of us. Our tech stack is: .NET Core 3.1 / .NET 5, AWS, K8s. Our team mostly develops back-end services but closely collaborates with teams building front-end.
- Write performant easy-to-maintain code and tests
- Design complex product features end to end
- Take responsibility for system health and CI/CD pipeline
- Collaborate with other engineers to evolve systems we maintain
- Conduct spikes and build prototypes to test ideas
- Mentor more junior team member
Requirements
- 3+ years in commercial software development experience designing, building and operating distributed systems.
- Solid knowledge of .NET (C#). You have written a lot of performant easy-to-maintain code using best practices. You can smell bad code and provide constructive feedback during code review.
- Strong background in designing and building high-throughput low-latency distributed systems. Your proposals are backed by cost analysis. Trade-offs you make are explicit and you can always lay out assumptions that your decisions are based on.
- Solid experience with a major cloud provider (preferably AWS)
- Excellent communication skills - you can explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing.
- DevOps mindset. At Rokt we encourage autonomy; teams have complete ownership of their systems including building, running and monitoring. As such, you may be required to be on-call and respond to systems alerts should they arise.
- Agile practitioner. "Agile" is not just a buzzword for you. You know how to work in an agile team towards a common goal.
- Bachelors, Masters or higher in Computer Science or equivalen
