The Bookkeeper position creates financial transactions and creates financial reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. The bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. This position will be responsible for higher level review of data entry, payroll processing and managing financial statements for a privately owned business with eight locations. This position will have growth opportunities available

Duties/Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Importing Invoices from Therap to Sage
• Reconciling Operating, Savings and Payroll, PayPal accounts
• Payroll Entries and reconciliation with Quarterly Tax Returns
• Accounts Payable (entire process)
• Writing off under $10 amounts (429 vs. 570 G/L)
• Updating Dashboard with cash figures
• Intercompany
• Reconciling Loans and Credit Cards

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Always has a positive and solution focused attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Google spreadsheets
• Experience with Sage software, preferred

Requirements

• Past experience in a supervisory role preferred
• Knowledge of payroll processing and managing financial statements
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have graduated from high school or earned a high school equivalency degree.
• Minimum 1 year professional work experience in related field
• Clean background check and positive references

Pay Range:

$20-25/hour
