Job Description

We have an immediate opening for an IT Program Manager on a high-profile government contract providing Cloud and Applications Management Support for their Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud enterprise infrastructure. This role is integral in managing projects and agile teams executing a range of methodologies and technologies including agile, lean, and cloud-native. This role needs someone who is knowledgeable about both business and technology, ensures the project meets scope, schedule, and budget, manages risk, and ensures government receives actionable information in a timely manner necessary to obtain decision/guidance to facilitate project execution. The IT Program Managers will facilitate customers' in the transition of their applications and offerings from a data center to the AWS cloud.

The candidate will have project management experience and knowledge of modernizing legacy applications and systems, DevOps process and tools, Cloud-native development and deployment, User Research and Design, Data Visualization, Data Analytics, Full Stack Development, and a deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, SAFe). Key Responsibilities:
  • Management and technical direction of projects
  • Project performance including cost, schedule, deliverables, and contractual compliance, and is accountable for the quality and timely delivery of all project deliverable items
  • Overall project/task performance
  • Enforcing work standards, task schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising technical personnel, recommending project hires and terminations, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinate personnel
  • Assisting in the budgeting of required resources for successful project implementation and completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Seven (7) years' experience, most of which must have been in information systems development, project management from inception to deployment; demonstrated ability to manage a team
