Job Description

Complex Networks is looking to hire a Coordinator of Premium Development. This position will aid in the creation of original programming for third-party buyers. This person will liaise with internal departments to exploit existing IP and ensure all content is in-line with Complex’s brand and values. S/he is a pop-culture junky who lives and breathes the latest trends in hip-hop, sneaker culture, food, and music, with an intuitive sense of what will resonate with Complex’s audience. They will be expected to stay ahead of competitive trends and find new ways of ideating next-generation content initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build decks, treatments, one-sheets, and other pitch materials for current and future Complex series (including off-platform/3rd party content and podcasts). This includes writing, editing, and proofing copy, creating visual assets, and aiding in the ideation + development process.
  • Assist in the writing of sizzle reel scripts across multiple platforms.
  • Aid in the research and identification of talent, topics, spaces, etc. to develop around.
  • Maintain departmental grids and other internal documents to track the status and progress of active and inactive projects on the Complex slate, and all incoming/external pitches.
  • Create and circulate agendas for weekly development department meetings.
  • Coordinate and interface with other departments including but not limited to: marketing, editorial, talent, production, and post-production teams.
  • Take detail-oriented notes on internal and external calls.
  • Light scheduling for department meetings and the VP.
