Earth Class Mail, an online service for accessing postal mail, is looking for a Director of Partnerships. The role reports to the VP of Growth. You will be instrumental in developing the multi-year, global strategic plan for Earth Class Mail's relationships with our most important external partners. You will lead the team responsible for executing on high-impact initiatives with the partners whose relationships with Earth Class Mail are foundational to our customers happiness. The successful candidate will be expected to think and act both strategically and tactically. They will be responsible for meeting a substantial portion of Earth Class Mail's growth and revenue targets. The ideal candidate will be metrics-driven with strong ownership and focus, with the ability to prioritize effectively and communicate clearly and persuasively. This is a highly visible role. Requirements
- Manage Earth Class Mails most critical partnerships
- Focus on defining and executing a strategy to deepen Earth Class Mail's relationships with our partners
- Ability to work with different partners - from platform partners through to referral partners.
- Drive direct and indirect revenue through partners
- Recruit and manage a high-performing team, defining its operating model, goals, KPIs and norms in alignment with Earth Class Mail's values
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in crafting thoughtful strategies for engaging and partnering
- Work as part of Earth Class Mail leadership team to transform top company goals into partnership strategies, and influence company-wide decisions that affect the direction of products, processes, or the betterment of Earth Class Mail overall
- Own relationships with partner executives, navigating the organizations they lead to educate key partner contacts about Earth Class Mail's value proposition
- identify/execute complex commercial deals that support Earth Class Mail's strategic objectives
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate post-deal implementation/integration plans are put in place in the course of the deal process
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience, with a background in strategy, business development, and partner management
- A proven track record of leading high-performing teams in a product-centric environments with significant internal and external dependencies
- Understand basic API principles, nomenclature, and development standards
- Broad and deep experience designing industry-wide partnership strategies, and forging commercial relationships to build innovative product experiences
- Experience leading large, complex, and first-of-their-kind commercial negotiations end to end, from opportunity identification through deal execution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to represent Earth Class Mail effectively in interfacing with C-Level executives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with partnerships with SAAS and/or subscription products
- Prior ownership and experience of delivering significant revenue through partnerships
- Ability to tell innovative and compelling stories
- Entrepreneurial spirit/ability to try different things with minimal direction
- Quick decision-making abilities demonstrating you can move fast under tight timing and pressure
