Job Description

  • Develop a performance-based culture, both team and individual, to assure continuous improvement and alignment with enterprise vision, mission and objectives.
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and development in the key areas of site safety, employee safety, and productivity.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with fellow employees, prospects, customers, and vendors
  • Under guidance from the Electrical Installation Manager, develop and frame the scope of tasks based on job volume
  • Conduct job pre-planning by evaluating staff and assignment of responsibilities through job planning, evaluate based on spec, order job materials to be onsite before the start of the job.
  • Manage scheduling in Microsoft Teams
  • Coordinate material and tool deliveries
  • Review Project documents
  • Site Visits
  • Track Foreman hours, milestones, etc. and report out on job progress or potential slip.
  • Under the guidance of the Electrical Installation Manager, learn the budgeting and planning process to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Serve as the backup and assist the Manager by providing direct oversight for the electrical team including foreman and electricians.
  • Serve as backup and assist the Manager to review, and approve employee time sheets in Microsoft Dynamics D365
  • Take on Branch Safety initiatives:
    • Support a culture of accountability in employee and site safety
    • Support the Albireo Energy Safety Program for the DC Division and join the Safety Committee
    • Attend corporate quarterly safety meetings.
    • Begin to build safety goals
    • Conduct Monthly Toolbox talks for the Electrical Team
    • Conduct and document periodic jobsite safety inspections and audits
    • Develop a plan to execute and maintain site safety plans

Requirements

  • Required 5 years Foreman level experience and certification in one or more of the building trades; High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocation/technical training in general construction (carpentry), plumbing, wiring, HVAC, etc.
  • 5-7 Years relevant work experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the job.
  • Equivalent experience, vocational school, or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Automated Logic hardware product line and network architecture is required.
  • Commitment to open door and comfort with contact with all field employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach managers and supervisors to use company practices for maximum effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Key leadership competencies in addition to high ethical standards, strong values, integrity, drive to deliver results, pride in personal and team performance, decision quality, building effective teams, and action orientation are fundamental imperatives.
