We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join us in this adventure. As a Legal Counsel, you will support the Boston office in a wide range of legal topics, such as sales agreements and data compliance.
This position is based in our Boston office, whose sales and medical department are growing quickly. Our Legal counsel will structure our legal processes with a strong sense of collaboration and responsibility.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, and a strong capacity for resilience and adaptation, in order to be successful as part of Withings culture of innovation.
Mission
- Review, draft, analyze and negotiate contracts as well as other legal documents
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (clients, administrations, suppliers)
- Develop our legal strategy for a variety of product and opportunities.
- Provide guidance in key topics such as data compliance
- Synthesize complex legal issues to provide clear, concise practical business-minded advice
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in law, in business law (notions in IT law, medical law, regulatory is a must)
- 2 to 4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the health industry
- Significant experience in contracts negotiation
- Enthusiasm for Withings' preventive health mission and the potential of technology to improve our lives
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, insight and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
- Willingness and ability to learn both the technical and medical aspects of Withings’ offering to develop a strong knowledge and position yourself as an expert. (Terms such as Type 2 Diabetes, Atrial Fibrillation, API or SDK integration don’t scare you, they motivate you to learn)
