First Realty Management Corp, a leading area property management firm is seeking an experienced full-time position available for an individual skilled in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, general maintenance work, and some knowledge on HVAC, boilers.
- This individual must work well independently and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Good communication skills are necessary.
- Individuals should be service-minded and take pride in their work.
- Regularly scheduled hours: 40 hours per week, Tuesday - Saturday.
- On-call responsibilities will be shared with other staff members.
- This position may be asked to perform work assignments at other sites, subject to any applicable contract provisions.
Job Functions:
- Prepares vacant units by repairing, refurbishing, and cleaning (as needed) in accordance with site checklists and turnover schedules, and First Realty Management standards.
- Assumes on-call responsibilities for lost keys and emergencies such as plumbing problems, electrical, etc., shared with others where applicable.
- Responds to daily emergency and routine service work orders in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintains appearance of the site by collecting and discarding refuse from common areas and throughout the site on a daily basis.
- Performs snow removal by shoveling, salt/sanding, and operating and maintaining appropriate equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance schedule per site requirements.
- Participates in annual apartment inspections as assigned.
Additional Job Functions:
- Works overtime as required for snow removal.
- Maintains a clean and well-groomed appearance, wears company issued uniforms.
- Is courteous to residents at all times.
- Where applicable, responsible for the pool operation and maintenance. Including chemical balance and operation of equipment Submits reports as necessary to relevant heath department during the pool season.
Requirements
Skills amp; Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry and general repair and maintenance duties
- Ability to get to the site in a timely manner to respond for emergencies
- Ability to read product instructions and safety materials
- Ability to fill out and complete work orders accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively with site staff and residents
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to operate snow equipment, such as trucks, skid loaders, snow blowers safely and effectively
- Ability to safely operate power tools, such as saws and drills
- Must pass First Realty Management’s pre-employment physical prior to starting of work
Level of Education/Training/License:
Valid drivers license, per site requirements
Experience:
Previous general maintenance or similar experience preferred.
