Where do I fit in?

SmartBrief, a division of Future Plc, is seeking a Senior Manager, Partner Development to oversee a book of top-tier association partners. The Senior Manager will manage all aspects of the partner relationship from launch through renewal negotiations, providing front line contact with associations to ensure superior service, strategic growth and partnership renewal. This position requires strategic collaboration with departments throughout the organization to anticipate partner needs and identify solutions. The role of Senior Manager requires independent thinking and problem solving, and the ability to develop relationships with senior points of contact at partner organizations. The Senior Manager will demonstrate the ability to manage junior team members and work to identify special projects and serve as a resource for the broader team. This individual will also need to show demonstrated mastery and have experience in digital/email marketing and audience growth strategies, as well as be an excellent writer. The Senior Manager will work closely with the Director, Partner Development, as well as the Chief Partnership Officer, in identifying areas of opportunity and growth for the Partnership team.

Job responsibilities and functions include:

  • Deliver partner-focused solutions based on organizational needs and priorities
  • Constantly have a pulse on partner priorities, shifts and focus areas - and present opportunities for SmartBrief and Future to integrate with those efforts
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive level stakeholders
  • Serve as project manager for internal projects on behalf of partner priorities and initiatives
  • Manage multiple tasks, resolve issues and schedule work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual growth and activity targets
  • Manage and own internal strategic projects and initiatives
  • Play an active leadership role on the partnership team by leading team meetings, identifying areas for improvement and serving as a mentor and guide to junior team members
  • Potential to manage team Associate (and/or interns when applicable) through consistent mentorship and actively managing workload and projects

Requirements

Skills and Requirements:

  • At least 5-8 years of related client service experience.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions.
  • Trade Association, digital marketing, agency, or media company background preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive level stakeholders. Presentation assessment will be part of the interview process.
  • A strong sense of organization with strict attention to detail. Project management experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to manage multiple tasks, resolve issues and schedule work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to synthesize complex issues to internal and external audiences.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Dedication to meeting quarterly and annual growth targets.
  • Proficiency with a variety of software packages, including Excel and Word. Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM software is a plus.
  • Experience analyzing data to uncover key insights and trends
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
