Public Goods is looking for a Product Manager to drive our digital experience and serve as the key product leader for the entire company. This role reports directly to the CEO and a successful candidate is expected to build a world-class product organization around them. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, marketing, and other stakeholders. A high performer will inspire Public Goods to further elevate its brand through an unmatched consumer product discovery, purchase and repurchasing experience. Experience in building a best-in-class e-commerce experience is a must, and making key strategic decisions around if and when to launch new products and features. Winning will mean Public Goods is consistently rated highly for a magical customer experience and is recognized as a clear leader in the ecommerce category.
What you will do:
- Define the digital product strategy, vision, and roadmap.
- Build the Public Goods digital experience to be the best in the world, through the lens of our values of simplicity and beauty.
- Take a lead on decision making and execution of any big projects touching the digital experience, such as launching an app.
- Prioritize features with a view toward driving up conversion rates across the site for both new and repeat customers, with a view toward personalization, seamless repeat orders, and cross-category selling. Ultimately, reducing initial friction to drive down CAC while improving engagement to drive up LTV.
- Own testing across the website.
- Conduct user research, synthesize internal stakeholder feedback and analytics to make product decisions.
- Own the engineering function and partner with creative and marketing on features design, prioritization, and delivery.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of experience in product management. Exceptional candidates with less experience welcome to apply.
- You have experience launching consumer-facing features on the web and mobile. D2C and e-commerce are a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in diverse settings and projects for B2C and B2B businesses whether leading a multifaceted team in high-quality product delivery or getting executive buy-in for your product vision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to large groups and executive teams.
- Craft the product strategy based on data, including transactional data, usage statistics, primary customer research, and industry analyst reports. But, with a vision not limited to data.
