The Chief Medical Office is a global healthcare consulting division of the larger VMLYamp;R network and associated with the VMLYamp;Rx division (focused on therapeutic healthcare innovations). The CMO has offices in London, New York, Cambridge (MA) and Shanghai. We focus on our core Science to Value Transformation Consulting model working with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access, Clinical Development, Patient Engagement, Development and Regulatory teams within our client organisations notably the biopharmaceutical companies, medical devise and diagnostics industries and also healthcare services industries.
In addition, we also provide strategic CMO consulting support to many of the medical communications, PR, creative agencies within the WPP network.
This role is based in our Cambridge (MA) office where we specialise in early consulting support for medical affairs, real world evidence, HEOR, market access and patient engagement activities specifically with the small biotech companies in the MassBio group. This role also involves very close collaboratively working with the team in London, Shanghai and New York, especially on global projects and those with a domestic (US or China) focus.
In the last year, the CMO has delivered a variety of projects, ranging from early clinical development consulting in neurology, EMA/HTA consultations in rare diseases, diabetes real world evidence studies, HEOR model development, global advisory boards in many therapeutic areas and other projects across the following disease areas, Rare Diseases, Oncology, Haematology, Immunology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Transplantation, neurosciences, diabetes and infectious diseases. .
About the role
The individual will be responsible for leading the CMO Consultancy in Cambridge and collaborating as part of the global CLT for the CMO at VMLYamp;Rx (WPP). The person will partner with external clients and internal senior stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high quality, highly profitable long-term CMO strategy plans, consulting plans and internal coaching and development plans. The person will have overall responsibility for consultancy in Cambridge (MA) and focus on providing exceptional leadership in the development of the highest quality client experience. He or she will ensure a coordinated approach to the CMO’s model for Science to value transformation consulting. They will recommend new and innovative approaches and directions to accomplish client’s Medical Affairs, HEOR, Access and Patient Engagement needs as part of the CMO’s consulting model while growing new and organic business.
