SUMMARY

We are looking for a hands on, innovative, and collaborative HR professional to join our team to develop/enhance our People Operation programs unleashing their full potential and shaping the future of our employee experience. This exciting opportunity will support our people strategy to enable rapid growth while ensuring a positive experience throughout the employee life cycle. We aim to develop the best programs, processes, and practices for our people.

This individual will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction of our People Operations programs including Benefits, HR Technology and People Analytics. This includes leadership, collaboration, design, administration, communication, and compliance of each of our programs.

This role will report to the Sr Director, People Operations amp; Benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In a highly collaborative environment, support the benefits strategy and administration and ensure our competitive benefits programs reinforces the supportive and collaborative culture of Generation Bio. Additionally, support the HR technology and people analytics strategy for the company
  • Lead critical, strategic bodies of work within People Operations and the greater HR team by managing the projects, establishing deadlines related to overall goals and ensuring the team is aware of key milestones
  • Assess ongoing competitiveness of current programs and design, develop and implement meaningful solutions in the areas of Benefits, Wellness, and HR Technology
  • Oversee all People Operation activities including onboarding and offboarding of employees, and other employee life-cycle related programs
  • Stay up to date with trends in people analytics, HR best practices, and technology identifying areas of improvement and opportunities for change
  • Build our HR analytic capabilities and develop and maintain our HR dashboard
  • Plan and direct the development and implementation of cutting edge employee benefit programs enabling an employee centric experience
  • Determine appropriate communication strategy for our benefits (including open enrollment and our Wellbeing platform: Physical Wellness, Emotional Wellness, and Financial Wellness) and develop education programs to ensure employees understand their benefits and their value
  • Provide support to employees on HR related questions and concerns specifically within the benefits and HR technology space
  • Collaborate with colleagues within HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Facilities and across the organization to ensure our people have a seamless experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with 3+ years of relevant experience managing benefits and HR systems
  • Ability to appropriately navigate multi-faceted and complex issues
  • Anticipates and proactively manages key internal and external business challenges, offering solutions with long term benefits
  • High leadership, management and self-awareness capabilities
  • Strong communicator and excellent influencer with ability to flex approach as needed to drive solutions
  • Trusted and collaborative confidante who provides feedback and insight to help cultivate a dynamic, learning organization
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate into actionable insight
  • Notable experience with Excel, experience with Tableau a plus
  • Required to understand and stay informed of legal regulations related to HR
  • Experience in high-growth/fast paced environment preferred
  • Prior experience in biotech/pharma strongly preferred
