Job Description

Limber is an evidence driven digital therapy platform designed to help people manage musculoskeletal pain and rehabilitate injuries from home through exercise therapy, education, and empowerment. The app features a proprietary assessment process that creates therapy video programs tailored to each individual user and guided by an expert Physical Therapist (e.g. think Peloton meets Physical Therapy). These programs are adjusted over time based on how the user is doing.


Limber works with some of the world’s leading health plans, employers, amp; health systems. With two clinical studies demonstrating its efficacy and client contracts worldwide, Limber is well positioned to take advantage of the growing field of virtual healthcare. The Limber platform is designed to be used by corporate clients, insurance, and healthcare providers. It offers a web-based back-end dashboard to track patient outcomes, monitor adherence, identify those in need, and facilitate care pathways.

We are looking for a leadership candidate that shares our mission to join our Clinical amp; Operations team. You will work on designing, optimizing, and executing the world’s most engaging home therapeutic programs. You will also be a key part of the process in helping develop new cutting edge technology to improve home-exercise therapy adherence.


The Team:

You will join a passionate leadership team that includes a Mayo Clinic-trained Sports Medicine Physician, a sports medicine Physical Therapist and creator of an Instagram exercise therapy channel with 600,000+ followers, a former consulting strategist with Accenture (helping Fortune 100 companies achieve business growth), a former actuary from McKinsey, and former software engineers from Google and Apple.


Role:

As Vice President, Physical Therapy, you will be an invaluable early member of our team, ready and eager to make a significant impact on our company and those we serve. The Limber team is very passionate about evidence-based care. Our digital therapy design is informed through research and clinical experience. Candidates for this role must have a very strong command of therapeutic exercise, the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, and designing progressive exercise programs.


As a member of a start-up, you must be equal parts self-starter and team player. We are looking for an individual who would like to apply their knowledge of healthcare and physical therapy to a digital medium, with the goal of making highly engaging home-exercise therapy widely accessible across the globe. The Limber headquarters are located in Washington, D.C. the ideal candidate will be local or willing to relocate to Washington, D.C.


Role Focus:

  • Design, build, and optimize the world’s most engaging home-exercise therapy programs for all musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Participate and serve as a key member in development of new cutting edge technology to improve home-exercise therapy adherence.
  • Work closely with the video production, product, and data science team on creating all new exercise therapy content and optimizing content delivery through the platform. This includes participation throughout the process of designing the programs, film preparations, filming the exercise therapy content, editing the content, and displaying the content through Limber’s mobile technology.
  • Ensuring quality control with exercise form for the demonstrations, and the best possible way to teach these movements through a digital platform.
  • Participate in business meetings where therapy expertise is needed. This includes strategy and discussions of how Limber can expand its audience and better serve its users.
  • Assist in coordinating exercise therapy models for content production.
  • Create clinically driven educational content (e.g. videos, blogs, webinars) consistent with the Company’s mission and dedication to evidence-based medicine.

Requirements

  • DPT Degree: Completion of an accredited Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
    • If you have a strong background in exercise rehabilitation, but a related health sciences degree, please address this in your application.
  • Clinical Rigor: Commitment to clinical guidelines and evidence-based medicine.
  • Effective Communicator: Excellent communication skills in demonstrating and teaching exercises to various populations.
