Equisolve is seeking a talented, motivated senior Web developer ready to develop new websites and applications and help guide our team of developers.
As a senior developer, you will work with other senior and managing developers to write or review code for various client websites and applications.
You will be integral in setting and documenting code standards and ensuring quality and security in the code you write and review.
This position requires senior-level technical ability, clear communication and excellent time management.
What You'll Be Doing
- Identifying technical requirements for websites and applications
- Working with the Design and UX team to ensure you have what you need to meet project requirements
- Writing secure, performant and accessible code
- Reviewing and providing feedback of peer-written code
- Documenting processes and best practices
You will have a mixed-level team of developers available to assist you in your growth at Equisolve as you get up to speed.
This is a remote position, but you do need to be mostly available during US Eastern Time Zone hours.
The Tools You’ll Use
- Our PHP-based content management system
- CMS framework and vanilla PHP for templating and development
- SASS for styles
- Github for versioning and code reviews
About You
- You've built websites, applications or features from the ground up using PHP or another server-side, object-oriented programing language
- You've worked in a CMS creating custom templates and functionality and written extensions or plugins
- You have a deep understanding of object-oriented programmingenough to write and review code, documentation and standards
- You've set up custom data structures with relational data
- You're knowledgeable on front-end and server-side security best-practices
- You pay attention to the details and make sure you've hit on all requirements for a task or project
- You like the idea of a fast-paced work environment and the opportunity to touch a lot of different types of projects and code
- You're comfortable talking with your co-workers and clients alike. You know how to craft the right response for the right reaction and aren't afraid to pick up the phone if you have to.
- You've worked from home before or have a plan for success for your first work-from-home position
We are only set up for US employees so you must be in the US and legally able to work here.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Familiarity with JavaScript MVVMs like Vue or React
- Comfortable working with Git
