Job Description

  • Serve as COP Manager for the command, leading day-to-day accomplishment of tasks listed below.
  • Maintain awareness of the status of all available operational tracks and maintain the KTO COP in accordance with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Manual (CJCSM) 3115.01
  • Document the current COP architecture, to include all data feeds from subordinate components or other sources required to provide a comprehensive, usable picture.
  • Manage baseline of current operations using CFC/USFK selected COP viewing software with positions of forces/platforms with terrain, weather, strength, and any other available amplifying information using all available C2 systems, tactical data link sources, radar system feeds, targeting systems, networks and available databases.
  • Plan and organize integration of the available US and coalition sensor data, platform, and tactical graphic feeds across multi-level security systems to ensure a common, coherent, relevant operational view of the mission designated battlespace to assist supported and supporting commanders in maintaining situational awareness.
  • Provide a standardized set of views to include, but not be limited to, overlays, data filters, dynamic track groups, and placemarks, that enables theater watch operations and COP operator staff to quickly tailor the desired operational view of the battlespace based on track data fields.
  • Maintain the integrity of the CFC Commander’s COP topology in accordance with the commander’s COP CONOPS as defined in CFC Publication 3-4.4
  • Monitor US and ROK data exchange formats and specifications to ensure interoperability
  • Validate and resolve data conflicts in the COP and develop procedures to resolve track data and naming conflicts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum Seven (7) years’ experience with GCCS COP fusion and management tools
  • Thorough understanding of COP fusion and management tools and relevant experience in COP management and operations support areas, along with solid understanding of and experience with networks, IT systems, and server platforms.
  • Secret Security clearance
