Job Description
Armstrong Flooring's Mechanic for our Manufacturing environment improves our facilities maintenance operations at our Lancaster, PA manufacturing plant. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Location: 1067 Dillerville Road, Lancaster, PA 17603
Mechanic, Manufacturing Hourly Rate: $28.23/hour (Production 9.5)
How you’ll contribute to the team:
- Perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair duties and new installations to plant grounds and buildings to concrete, masonry, roofs, wood, etc.
- Perform routine maintenance on a predetermined schedule to maintain lubricants in production and support equipment.
- Work on air conditioning units (all classes) and refrigeration units including installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear applicable safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses, side shields, approved safety shoes, and other PPE)
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair steam generation equipment.
- Fabricate, erect, and maintain all types of sheet metal work such as conical vessels, ducts, hoppers, and guards.
- Operate all types of sheet metal machines such as power shears, power brakes, drill presses, iron workers, and power and hand rollers.
- Work with fabrication drawings.
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all other facility support equipment.
Requirements
What you'll bring to the table:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in a facilities maintenance role or related environment
- Must possess shift and schedule flexibility of regular time as well as any shift that may include off-hours and/or weekends, as needed
