To support our vision in delivering the premier client/attorney experience, we are seeking a Senior Security Engineer who has a passion for managing security along with a desire to relentlessly champion best practices. This person will be responsible for completing thorough risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities within our network, managing various security controls, and configuring systems to enhance our existing security features. This role is a critical component to our growth strategy and the implementation of ground breaking technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, engineering, implementing, and monitoring systems to improve the security state of the network.
- Identifying, monitoring, and defining the requirements of the network security function, to achieve compliance with the security policies
- Vulnerability management (Monitoring security news, mailing lists and scans), developing tracking documents to note system vulnerabilities, and develop action plans to resolve or mitigate the risks
- Defining and maintaining security policies
- Deploy, upgrade, tune and troubleshoot firewalls, including Cisco ASA and Firepower
- Perform security assessments testing the infrastructure for software, hardware, and configuration security exposures.
- Analyze business needs, research and recommend innovative solutions.
- Act as the security subject matter expert for Active Directory, Windows Server and Desktop, and other Microsoft technologies
- Identify, respond to, and document security threats
- Resolve technical faults and allocate resources to deliver real solutions in a cost-effective way
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Requirements
- 7+ years’ professional experience as a Security Engineer in a medium to large organization
- Active CISSP certification or equivalent industry recognized security certification
- Experience deploying and supporting Cisco ASA and Firepower
- Expertise developing, implementing, and maintaining security polices, standards, and procedures
- Extensive experience with web and email security technologies, endpoint protection, and wired/wireless security controls in an enterprise environment
- Enterprise experience managing Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7 or other industry recognized vulnerability management platform
- Experience implementing controls from frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27000
- Active Directory, Windows Server and Desktop, and other Microsoft technologies expertise
- Enterprise experience securing a VMWare environment
- Expert knowledge of the CIS benchmarks
