Manager / Senior Manager, Business Development Strategic Planning

Key Responsibilities amp; Accountabilities:

• Assist the Business Development and Strategic Planning teams to pursue relevant opportunities and to support the company’s strategic planning activities.
  • Maintain the competitive landscape analysis and monitor key developments in the competitive landscape related to opportunities of interest.
  • Interact efficiently and cross-functionally with the Editas Finance, Ramp;D, CMC, and Clinical teams.
  • Research market potential of opportunities, including consideration of competitive landscape, to build financial models.
• Prepare presentations that will be made by BD team to external parties.
• Participate in the business development discussions with internal teams as a core member of the business development team.
• Complete business cases, including financial modeling, scenario, valuation, and ROI analysis.
• Organize and support cross-functional workstreams in due diligence process.
• Complete analysis to prepare strategic opportunities for internal discussions.
• Support negotiations consistent with business cases and corporate goals, as needed.
• Support special initiatives on ad hoc basis, to further our corporate objectives.

Requirements

• Experience in assessing opportunities for strategic fit with corporate objectives.
• Experience in transactions including evaluation, strategic, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with many different functions.
• Outstanding financial modeling skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent professional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Effective communicator across all levels.
• Seeking candidate who is resilient, self-directed, highly motivated, and passionate about biotech business development and planning.

Education amp; Relevant Work Experience:

• Undergraduate degree (MBA or advanced scientific degree a plus)
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of work experience (experience in biotech/pharma business development, consulting, venture capital, and/or banking experience is a plus, years of relevant experience in these fields will be considered)
