Barbaricum is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide support to a program supporting the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. Specifically, this individual will support the Program Director for the Department of Defense’s Manufacturing Technology Program and associated Manufacturing Innovation Institutes which seek to ensure robust, secure, resilient, and innovative manufacturing industrial capabilities upon which DoD can rely to fulfill Warfighter requirements.The Financial Analyst will support all categories of agency financial operations. This includes all phases of Budget Planning and Budget Estimate Submission (BES), Formulation and Reporting Execution; POM Mission Requirements Package (MRP) Submission for General Fund (GF) Accounts; Tri-Annual Review, Unliquidated Obligations (ULO) and Negative Unliquidated Obligations (NULOs) Resolution Support; Program Cost Analysis Documentation; Financial/Spend Plans and Funding Packages; Program Cost Analysis Documentation and Management of Internal Controls Planning and Testing (MICP). This role will provide support to the finance lead and will provide data inputs to developing the program deliverables (i.e., monthly financial reports and spend plans).Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 5+ years of finance experience
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Basic understanding of RDTamp;E funding and appropriations
  • Working knowledge of various DoD financial management systems
  • Familiarity with DoD PPBE-related Processes, Program Objective Memorandums (POM), and Program Budget Decisions (PBD)
  • Familiarity with the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI)
  • Understanding of Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR) process is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to shifting priorities while wearing multiple hats to ensure timely delivery of products
